At least, what we know from historical documents, is that by the second part of the 17 th century, Ajmo Barbera possessed unique dyeing techniques besides just a wool mill. Their secret was passed down from father to son for centuries.

Today, the legacy continues with the third generation, represented by Luca Patti and Matteo Patti, spearheading the mill's global initiatives. In its fiftieth year, Zignone produced over 2.5 million meters of fabric, exporting to 46 countries.
