It was a scorching hot summer day with the temperature at 28 degrees Celsius. I was on my way to an important business meeting, dressed in a business suit with a tie, and driving towards my destination in my car. Luckily, the air conditioning was providing me with adequate cooling and I felt comfortable. However, my luck ran out as I got stuck in a traffic jam in the center of Brussels. The thought of arriving late made my heart race with excitement, but I had planned ahead and taken into account the possibility of unforeseen delays.
When I finally reached my destination, I was surprised to find that I had arrived too early. The parking garage was full, leaving me with no option but to park at a nearby space which was a five-minute walk away. Suddenly, thunderstorms broke out with heavy rain, hail, and strong gusts of wind. As I rummaged through my car to look for my umbrella, I realized that it was discolored by the sun and one of its stretchers was broken. I couldn't possibly show up with such an unsightly accessory!
Thankfully, I remembered that Maison Degand was located just two blocks away. I rushed there and purchased a beautiful and sturdy umbrella with a leather handle that perfectly matched my outfit. As I walked back to my car, I noticed that the rain had stopped, and the sun had come out, creating a beautiful rainbow across the city.
My new umbrella became my faithful companion as I walked the five minutes to the summit meeting. I knew that it was important to be prepared for any weather changes, so I handed over my umbrella to the reception for safekeeping. Since then, my umbrella has been my loyal friend for six years, accompanying me on walks through the city and to various meetings and events. It is durable and can withstand even the harshest of weather conditions, just like a trusted friend who always has your back.
